| WLOC President
We are pleased to welcome David Turner back to WLOC as our President. David was the original Chairman of WLOC when it was founded in 1972 and produced several successful shows. David's professional career has seen him working in many theatres, both close to home and throughout the British Isles. In 1980 he was appointed to the Connaught Theatre where, during his six years in charge of Worthing's much loved repertory theatre, he produced or directed over 70 major productions including one for the theatre's Golden Jubilee in 1985. In 1987 David was invited to direct a new production of the world's longest running play 'The Mousetrap' at London's St Martin's Theatre and the following year he was appointed General Manager of the Peter Saunder's organisation. In 1994 he was appointed Artistic Director and each year directs a new West End cast. Recently when 'The Mousetrap' celebrated its 50th anniversary, David was honoured by being presented to H.M. The Queen. David's work has also included adjudication for musical theatre around the country and he continues to work with students and amateur theatre. We look forward to reaping the benefits of his experience now he is back with the company. |
