Since WLOC's very first show Dick worked tirelessly for the society and although ill health recently forced him to retire from 'active duty' he continued to support our activities and was in good spirits when he attended our Oliver! matinee performance in September.

Dick's roles with WLOC have never led him 'on-stage' but he has always been happy to avoid the limelight and work hard behind the scenes, for many years alongside his wife Ivy, as Treasurer, Chairman (not forgetting Treasurer-and-Chairman)  -  and of course recently as President.  Whilst his starring role may have been to proudly lead the Front of House team for each show he was equally happy to help wherever possible at rehearsal teas, fundraising events and social activities.

His often quoted saying 'WLOC is my life' was from the heart and says most about his dedication to our society.  We are all indebted to his unique contribution to the rise and progress of WLOC - and will miss him greatly.
