Nathan Detroit is desperate to find funds for his crap game and bets Sky Masterson that he cannot convince a local Salvation Army girl, Sarah Brown, to accompany him to Cuba. Sarah needs at least a dozen converts to prevent the local Mission from closure. And Nathan's fiancée, Adelaide wants to get married after a fourteen-year engagement.
