Li'l Abner

Li'l Abner is quite new to most people in the UK (ours was only the 4th production!) - but this gem of a Musical Comedy is an established favourite in the U.S.  Based on a 1930's comic strip the show is non-stop singing and dancing action following the exploits of a sleepy American town, Dogpatch.

Direction was by Kate Bennett (Me and My Girl 1997) who had already produced Li'l Abner a few years ago in Bognor Regis to great acclaim.  Musical Director was Crispin Ward who says this is his all time favourite show! - His enthusiasm quickly rubbed off on the cast.  Helen Emery was again our very able Chorus Mistress putting us through our musical paces and correcting every wrong note!
